I'm thinking of having a bet on West Ham next season

They have a great squad and have tied Payet down, but they will have massive spending power, huge stadium with bugger all rent !!

Get ON !!!

I doubt any team will be 5000/1 again. The bookies are conning sods, they even give shorter odd on Elvis making a comeback.

I think Leicester could do alright if they get the luck again! They need to buy well, but I don't see how they can't strengthen and stay as a top 10 side challenging for europa like the saints or Everton have been in recent years.

The money that the CL gives is huge, plus, players want to play in Europe. They are a far better proposition then at least 13 other PL clubs.

I think Merse was suggesting that they would probably be having their eyes on a few signings as soon as CL became a realistic prospect.

I hope they can crack on as it gives us hope that a smaller club can make a realistic impact on this league with the right luck and correct structure. If they do go down what does that say about the state of the league and the top heavy nature of English football? To me it would suggest there is no way to get some success bar the odd freak cup run or spiffing money at the league a la Chelsea or city.

Depends, Leicester may well be small club but they have the financial backing of a top 6 team.

If they spend heavily, which it think they will, then the fans will be thoroughly disappointed with a mid table finish.

I expect them to maintain at least a top 6/7 place.
