We were linked to him this time last year: [Link] Since the link it looks as though he has become more of a regular at Fiorentina and I believe he has fulfilled some of his potential so not as risky now as he was then. as a backup striker I think he fits our criteria. Babacar has reportedly re-iterated his desire to stay at Fiorentina for at least a couple more years so he will have been at the club for 10 years but a couple of lines in the Mirrors report about our interest in Remy gives this info: `Palace have examined other options and are long-term admirers of Fiorentina's Khouma Babacar, as revealed by MirrorFootball last January. Babacar signed a new deal with the Serie A giants in 2015 but his agent Patrick Bastianelli is now understood to be working closely with Unique Sports Management, a company that has close links to members of the Eagles hierarchy and which could facilitate a deal.`
