Fulham's striker, only 19 and banging them in this season. Very highly rated, although he'd be 'potential' rather than the finished article. Thoughts?

Got pace and power, can use both feet and is good in the air but he is relatively "Wet behind the ears" in age and experience and not what he require at this present time. Edited by Willo (29 Dec 2015 10.44pm)

Think he'd be a good signing, not one to come straight in and make a difference but definitely a player for the next couple of seasons. Heard Spurs are interested though
The ups and downs of Palace have left me older than my years |

Fell through I think because Fulham wanted him loaned straight back. Not much good to us right now if that's what's on the table

Reluctantly, perhaps but I would still do it. Sometimes you've go to take the long view and I think he'd be a seriously good investment.

I think the player and his agent will wait until the end of the season for a huge deal. He's a good player but I think we have 0% chance on him.

That would be fine for or a club like Man U, Man C, or Chelsea, where money is no object, but for a club like Palace, financially it's a nonstarter, we need to spend wisely, and throwing £6m at a player with no prospect of playing for the club until next season is not very wise.

If Gayle goes it would be cost neutral, and we would have Wickham, Chamakh and Campbell, as well as (hopefully the smash hit) Adebeyor. Might be worthwhile...
