I know what you mean but in this case probably because we were in there first. I read somewhere that a second bid from Palace was imminent but don't know what the outcome is?

If he's any good and if other clubs are genuinely interested in him we could well lose him unless we put in a sensible bid as the rumours are that our bid was about the equivalent of what Yohan Cabaye earns in four days
