Widely reported as being highly likely to leave Newcastle before Tuesday's deadline but not really linked with us. Given our need for a striker, Pardew's fondness for players who have performed for him before, and Parish's ability to get a deal done quietly (i.s. Sako) plus what would likely be a need to keep this one very much off the radar after the Colloccini "mess", I wonder if this just might be one of the "one or two deals" that SP slyly alluded to last week. Thoughts? If firing, Cisse might be a near perfect fit.

Yep, totally agree. By the way, was Chammy always injured at Arsenal or is this a recent thing? I don't particularly remember him being Darren Anderton-esque at Highbury. More that he just wasn't picked very often. The worry is that his recent injuries seem chronic.

Didn't he get dropped for two games and is now being a complete knob about it? Work harder. Be better.

Please no Cisse. He was great at my hometown freiburg. But he is a money player. Give him more and you get him. He is no player who will identify with the club. And he is 30....
