I think that this is my opinion which we are all entitled of. Therefore pleasestop trying to make me change my own opinion with pittiful facts. I have watched him and Chester play in the Prem, and believe Chester is a better option for us, and that i would rather our existing back up or partners for Dann to remain instead of getting JE.
The other plays in a United side who will stick their full backs forward and regularly have the two centre backs and a holding midfielder up against an Aguero/Bony or a Giroud/Sanchez. The second one therefore has to perform to a much higher standard. If Delaney played in that system, as great a job as he's done for us, he'd have a torrid time, as would Hangeland. For us to evolve, getting the second type is a massive step forward. If you're not willing to have a discussion about it, why pop it onto a forum?

Don't really rate him too highly, but he is actually better than Delanny. Also, total side note, I quite rate John O'Shae, although he's maybe no longer premiership material, he was good until a season or so ago. Wes Brown, is a liability.

I didn't say he was my first choice signing at centre back (that would be Ashley Williams), but he is certainly an upgrade on Delaney on Hangeland. Delaney was perfect for when Pulis was in charge cos he would just lump into the channels for Jerome to chase. Class defender but can't play football so I would be happy to have him as back up. I agree with Ambrose, teams like United leave a lot more space than we do. And just because somebody is bad at a big club, doesn't mean they will be bad for us. After all, we're the only football fans in the country who think Chamakh is any good. Wasn't good enough for Arsenal, brilliant for us but people still rate him on Arsenal performances. Evans is a risk, but is potentially someone who could help us break into the top 8.
