Interesting point about the "new challenge" , the prem is regarded as the best league (or certainly one of them) in the world. I will admit to not knowing too much about him so if you say he's only played in Italy then that's going to make the fresh challenge more appealing. With that the offer of London I guess stands, however I don't believe that matters too much in the vast majority of cases and is over used and over rated. I still think, whilst you've put up good reasons to join us, if this is serious interest from us then we really have our work cut out for us. It's a really nice idea and he'd be really good alongside Dann but I still think it's a dream too far.

The debate is that every point you make is valid save (allegedly) game time. New manager; 2 new centre backs bought; both the new managers men. It MAY be that this guy is knocked down the pecking order and seeks game time. However, whether that would be with us...? And whether we would stump up his personal demands..?

According to rumours in Italy he may well have now lost the captaincy and also his first team place.....so its as likely as anything else happening.
