Not an opinion on Osvaldo (about whom I don't really know enough to pass judgment) but the likelihood is that the only way we're going to attract a world class striker is finding one who in some way or another is damaged goods. If they weren't, they'd be signing for a bigger club than Palace. Whether or not Osvaldo is worth the risk I don't know. But I can see why we're tempted to take the gamble. My view is that we have a very strong dressing room and I cannot imagine our current squad would allow Osvaldo to poison it. In fact, under the wing of the likes of Jedi and Ledley he might even flourish. If Osvaldo is seriously good (again, I don't know, but if he is top class), going for it makes sense.
