Despite your potshots at UKIP, you must be gutted that you have lost this election. Therefore, who do you blame? I blame Ukip. They promised up to 40 MPs and were expected to split the far right vote. However despite the Tory election campaign being pretty poor they look as if they will be lucky to get a handful of MPs, possibly only one. Couldn't care less. Both the major parties have adopted UKIP policies to get votes. That is success.
If you believe that we live in a democracy then you are sadly wrong. Democracy my ar-e. How do you suggest that things are run then? The first step is for people to open their eyes and realise that we are constantly being robbed regardless of who's in power/colours worn.

What about after that, after people's eyes are opened ? What's the next step then? Or do you say, enough eyes will never be opened,so there's nothing anyone can do anyway? Edited by legaleagle (07 May 2015 8.50pm)

Edited by legaleagle (07 May 2015 8.50pm) 10/10. ok. So we can do nothing about it in your view and if we partake in the political election process we are mugs and should open our eyes.. I don't knock your view that nothing really changes and we get screwed whichever way it goes. The rich indeed stay rich and prosperous.I don't go with you about the small group of people working in league and pulling strings up top, that's more into global conspiracy areas than I am. But,allowing for all that, here's one way we differ . In terms of a person's day to day life and their family's, the inch of difference between the possible governments (and yes only an inch) as things stand can drop us enough crumbs to make it worth noticing the difference and having that extra inch. If a person is ill and needs an operation for a potential terminal condition,a small drop in waiting times could make a big difference,as could more help with funding of care for under five's so a parent can work and earn some money.Or,if you suffer from a mental health condition, having the funding slightly less slashed so a care worker is more likely to be available to help you when crisis time comes,so you don't relapse and end up back in hospital "sectioned" and losing your job again... So,for me,that justifies participating in it (didn't say makes it more than I've said)...could be me or one of mine needing one of the above tomorrow ,could even be you or one of your's... But everyone's entitled to an opinion... Edited by legaleagle (07 May 2015 10.03pm)

I'm honestly not here to 'lock horns' again but it could be far far better imo. You/i work 4-5 months of the year just to pay the interest on loans to the 'unseen' (for want of a better word) who own the Bank of England, The Fed in the USA etc through our taxes. Call me a conspiracy theorist, call me deluded or call me a nutter. It's not right and will only ever get worse.

Well,I've explained my point of view and you've reiterated your's. Same ten years ago and same ten years from now? In the big picture, yes. But I already said I agreed with you on that In the small picture I painted, giving three examples, it could make a difference to a few ordinary people's (mugs?) day to day lives in a meaningful way.The example I gave about mental health care workers is not imaginary. Its based on reality about one of my extended "me and mine" and I've seen close up the difference the example can make over a period of years to a person's life (and NHS service levels),and they are very unlikely to have been the only one..so,if for no other reason, this "mug" casts his vote...because a crumb is indeed only a crumb but I'd rather have a crumb with nothing changing than your scenario of do nothing, have no crumb and nothing changes. Its not about "locking horns";we're having a civilised discussion, not a row of any type. But,I'll leave it at that. Edited by legaleagle (07 May 2015 10.52pm)
