Sold for £35K a record at the time.

I remember it being quite a shock when he was transferred to Coventry. It came out of the blue ( no pun intended) and as it was just another 2nd Division side that bought him it was a bit hard to take.

On the plus side it eventually gave John Jackson his chance once it was shown that Jacko was a better keeper than Tony Millington, Glazier's replacement.
