Towards the end of the game my son, who was 8 at the time, sat down in his seat, put his head in his hands and said "I can't watch any more dad!"

Poor lad was totally stressed out by the whole thing. When the match ended and a huge cheer went up, he thought Wednesday had scored to send us down. I picked him up and said "we've done it son! We're staying up!" and he hugged me so tight I couldn't breathe.

What a day, and so good to remember how far we've come in a few short years.
