Great picture that. I didn't use the coaches that often - preferred the Special, regular rail or the odd 'pirate' coach or minibus. I remember one year around Christmas having to go to Roker Park by coach - it was horrific. Took days

I remember going to Leeds in the cup by train, got a double decker bus from station in leeds to ground and after beating them thanks to Dave Swindlehurst on the way back the Leeds fans attacked the bus, throwing bricks etc. got on the train and was pulling out the station saw a few Leeds fans on a bridge so gave them a wave (I may have been showing them one finger purely to confirm the score) and one of them threw an apple he was eating at me I just laughed thinking I was inside train no probs and didn't realise the small sliding window was slightly open, the kid threaded the eye of a needle on a moving train and hit me square between the eyes.

Yes we were very lucky that day.. (as in lucky to survive intactus!) I think there were 14 buses and not one got back with any windows. Then, sitting on the train having the meal about 20 mins from Leeds another brick came through the window.. Happy days though.... Edited by ektaff (15 Apr 2015 4.29pm)
