I bet you didn't see that coming.

Sorry bad taste joke. But this is Hol

Hopefully it's an early diagnoises and they can keep it under control. My grandad had it and my Dad has it so far I am ok.

I agree It's not right having to pay.
look on the positive side you get free eye tests.

There is an operation to have it sorted out I believe and it can be done on the NHS if you are lucky. If not privately or you can have laser treatment for it.
It might not be cheap going private but I look at it if it means keeping your sight then its worth it.

I am fairly certain that you can have laser treatment but the Glaucoma needs to be of a particular type,or ripeness.

You can buy a prescription prepayment certificate for £104 annually. This won't save you money if you only ever need the eye drops, but it will also cover you for any other medication that you may be prescribed at any time during the year. i.e. anything over 13 items a year makes a saving

Diagnosed in my mid 30's and had probably had for 10 years. Was told no longer allowed to drive as lost vision at side of eyes. However been on eye drops for last 12 years or so and there has been no change. Annual check-up. Will be a laser op if needed. Good luck not the end of the world. Edgar David's and Bono I believe have it. Tinted lenses are a good idea as low sunlight can be aproblem
