My neighbour Barry drives a bus and is a great bloke. "Barry the Bus Driver" thats got c*** written all over it He's built like the proverbial...
Why not ? Because it's rude, uncouth and might result in a smack round the chops.

I was on the 119 a number of years ago. The bus had stopped at East Croydon and there was this bloke waiting at the stop. Now this bloke had an unfortunate speech impediment and when the doors opened he asked the driver if the bus went near "Biggy ill". Now to me it was pretty obvious he meant Biggin Hill but the driver just said "never heard of it mate" and shut the doors on him and drove off. Nice chap. Edited by Pete53 (22 Mar 2015 11.02pm)

Utter @rse today in Princes' St, outside Waverley station driving the 22 to Ocean Terminal. Saw me running across the street, waving at him, actually looked at me and smiled and waited until I got onto the pavement by the bus stop. Then slammed the door in my face and drove off. Don't think it was the same one as who last week wouldn't let me on when the sodding electronic tickets app on my phone wouldn't connect to their rotten server and sat there going round and round and complaining that it couldn't connect. Of course it was "nothing to do" with him, and of course pointing out that they were the same company was "abuse". But they've had enough practice. No bus driver in Edinburgh has given anyone change in living memory. Exact money only. £1.50 or use these bl**dy electronic tickets that ne driver work or a season ticket thingy that only pays for itself if you live, work, eat and sleep on the bus. If it weren't for the bagpipes and the tartan shops and the castle you would be forgiven for thinking you were in Brighton.
