I can't honestly see Liverpool letting him go. They've got a fourth round FA Cup tie, the two-legged Capital One Cup semi-final V Chelsea and their Europa League tie V Besiktas to add to the demands of the PL.
Nice if it comes off but I wouldn't think it at all likely.

For the 2014/15 campaign Under 21 players will have been born on or after 1st January 1993, so as Zaha's DoB is 10 Nov 1992 he is over age, Yaya Sanogo's DoB is 27 January 1993, he is almost 4 weeks under age so it could well be a youth loan.

Where did you get this information?

The 2014/15 FA Rules are:

6.6.5 Youth Loan Transfers
[Youth Loan Transfers apply to :-
• Scholars in their second or third (if that option is exercised) year of their Scholarship
agreement, or
• Contract Players aged 20 or under on 1 July immediately preceding the Playing
Season in question.

Sanogo was 21 on 1 July 2014 so would not qualify...

Well he does, the dates I quoted are the recognized dates by FIFA, UEFA, and THE FA, so will be automatically adopted by all Leagues.

He will qualify as a U21 but would not be considered a youth loan as per previous rule quoted in the FA rules.

I don't know Liverpool's intentions on this matter.

At present Liverpool have five recognised full-backs in Glenn Johnson, Alberto Moreno, Javier Manquillo (On Loan) Jose Enrique and Jon Flanagan.Andre Wisdom is out on Loan. They have these full-backs but Liverpool have been playing with a back three of late and in fact have utilised midfielder Emre Can in the defence.
Enrique has in fact played further forward so can be utilised as a wing-back.
Enrique was at Newcastle when Pardew was there but it was Allardyce who signed him.

If they're currently playing 3 at the back and have Moreno and Flanagan as cover...

Pardew has managed him for 8 months so I would completely trust his judgment. Proven at this level, could be a really good deal for us.

I think Sanogo was making similar noises before the hire.

Surfacing again on Twitter. Most probably just a rumour plucked from nowhere, but I thought i'd still post as a sort of suggestion/rumour. Think he'd be good competition for Souaré.

Also good cover, qnd might allow Kelly who previously was LB or RB cover to develop as CB cover/starter?
