Problems with stands blocking a bit of light an issue but no problem with Jerk smoke wofting through their windows.
With the influx of cash at the club and if they wanted to redevelop Selhurst properly, they could buy the houses on Park Road, Holmsdale Road and build bigger stands and have plenty of room for bars and catering possibly a bit of parking.

I'm sure SP would be pleased to receive your cheque to fund this pie-in-the-sky scheme.

Maybe pie in the sky but not as daft as it sounds. Never going to be able to build the stands any bigger than they are. Can spend money putting in new stands but if it doesn't increase capacity whats the point?.

We dot need a stadium much bigger than we have now bubble...maybe an extra 5k...but even them we wouldn't need that for another few years.

Essentially this is what wolves had to do to build their stadium. Local residents had to be bribed a lot of dosh.

Anyone who lives in a house next to the ground and doesn't support the team should be dragged out on the street and stoned anyway, because they don't deserve to live there.

Mr Parish, whose word I, frankly, give more credence to than yours, is confident that, as phase one, he will have built a larger Whitehorse Lane stand, in co-operation with Sainsbury's. He intends to increase the capacity to around 35K eventually by rebuilding/modifying the current stands. If you think he's wrong, get on the BBS and tell him he's talking out of his ar$e and you have a better plan. Pleae do let me know how you get on.

I don't think anyone has yet considered the option of making the supporters smaller - thus allowing more of them to be accommodated. I haven't finished thinking this through yet but my initial thinking involves chainsaws.

What makes anyone think they will say to a house owner, 'here's the money, now move'. I like my house and would never move. If it was so important to you I'd add £100,000 to the price. There are 10 houses (?) in question, this is going to be difficult, take a long time and cost a fortune. SP has it in a nut-shell when he says he intends to lower the pitch (increasing the height of the stands) and fill in the corners. This will eventually increase Selhusrt by 10-15,000. Palace must not settle for only 35,000, no matter how appropriate it is at the moment. A new home on the old Crystal Palace site will be the answer and will take Palace home. If all supporters were to want and desire this and act to this and, it could happen. Believe

Ok, don't wet your knickers. S.Parish doesn't post on the BBS, Your confusing him with Steve Browett. Thought we were chucking in suggestion and generally having a discussion, not sure why your getting all stressy about it.Am sure the owners will do a great job of getting the ground sorted no matter whats suggested on here.

Yes Bubble, we seem to be enjoying this discussion. Anyway, what is your idea for improving Selhurst, apart from leaving it to our masters and betters and telling others not to get excited? Have you any ideas you are getting wet knickers about? And please don't tell me to stop panicking or to go away. Really interested in an old Palace fanatic's view in a constructive way, of course.

The BBS is the only way to talk to the owners direct; irrelevant which Steve it is. When one of the owners has been on HR and told us what's going happen why would anyone be interested in what some hod carrier thinks?

Wrong again, Steve Parish posts on here sometimes. I wasn't saying what is going to happen, I was merely making a suggestion just as the OP had. If you are not interested in what I have to say, simply ignore it.
