As with most organizations in this big wide wonderful world, it's usually not what you know but who. Why is my wife, an accomplished opera singer with several choruses in the US working as an usher at the Metropolitan Opera here in NYC instead of singing in their chorus? The same with Jules, he has played most of his career in Britain, first Scotland and then us. As good as he has been for us, the AFA could care less. Look what they did to Maradona after the last World Cup. They told him to fire his assistants if he wanted to stay manager. He did the right thing (for once) and told them where to go and how fast to get there. The three chosen are not regulars like Jules is but they play either on the continent or in Argentina, one of them for Boca. So, they get in even though they don't have Jules' record of accomplishment. It's not what they know, it's who. I picked Argentina to win it all due to the combination of Messi and Arguero, now I'm not so sure. Besides, Jurgie's Red, White and Blue Army will have more to say about things than most people realize. The USA will do both the Hermans and the Ronaldos!

You raise some very good questions Sir!. Yes man you have got to know the right people otherwise you suck on the hind tit all your life! I found that out after several years in the animal manure business. Eventually I got to know who counted and who did not and it made the world of difference. I went from struggling to controlling and it was all about the right people and their fruitful connections.

What a chance missed by the Argies. They must have some real good goalies.

ha ha i used to use that word in school !

I still do, it's short for goal keeper, but less bother to type.

Certainly looks like Jules has been kicked in them by the Argentinian manager whatever the spelling. Reckon he should of gone 4 years ago with us in the Championship as the guy against the Germans had a shocker.

I believe he's eligible to play for England as well having played here for over 10 years. Certainly better than Foster and the other one with the similar sounding name.
