TP has the welfare of the whole team/club to think about, not babysit any player whatever name and reputation. A wise selection and proved we have two very good goalkeepers. Next season they will probably both be given chances in the A-team.

Agree. I think JS will start next season and, save for a drop in form, will play in all but the cup games. If he makes mistakes it will switch.

Hennessy did great today and will be a great GK. Give him a chance. 1st friggin game with heaps of pressure esp given JS form. He must have a good head to perform how he did today. If JS gets injured what then? I can live with 2 quality GKs. TP needed to give this boy a run today, he's been warming the bench all season. He'll be feeling great preseason having touched the turf, and Gayle too. TP is doing a great job!

I doubt that anyone is a bigger fan of JS as I am, but it was the right decision to give WH a run out. Our build up for next season has started with this game...

I think they're on the look to replace BA Baracus due to his fear of flying, but Wayne's gotta get the mohawk sorted first

What nonsense! Hennessy's kicking was exemplary and made a couple of good saves. The goals were outstanding efforts, what is everyone on about!?

I would have liked him to try!

I think his positioning could have been better for both.

Appalling goalkeeping.

Pulis made a big mistake leaving Jules on the bench IMO.

My apologies, I should not have posted "Appalling goalkeeping."

I was upset on Speroni's behalf; he had said he was looking forward to the game; and, as he had previously played in every minute of the season, it seemed to me unfair to leave him out in the last game. As Hennessy played yesterday, he should also have been chosen to play previously; again IMO.

Right decision. Nothing game, so like a early cup tie, a perfect chance to see what the back up can do. I don't for a minute think that Hennessey is considered first choice, but rather an understudy to Jules.

WH can kick it far

he looked confident coming for crosses

he couldn't have saved those two shots and neither would have Julian

good idea to play him for this one

This sums it up perfectly, no goalkeeper in the Premier League would have saved those goals

What I saw of the game Henessy did pretty well, and it made sense to give him a game.

The fact that Speroni didn't play has no implications on his future either.

Hennessey didn't do too badly yesterday but to replace Jules next season means Pulis will have to do quite a lot of in depth thinking principally because Hennessey has been out of competitive football for several months, and on that basis I would not make a change for next season unless forced into it by injury.

My old man thinks Hennessey was out of position for both their goals. Certainly the first one was the sort of save Speroni has been making all season. The last minute one, as a tall keeper you would have expected him to be nearer?
