There has been a lot of talk on social media about it looking like Julian was saying his goodbyes last night. I'm not so sure. Parish has said that Jules will be offered a new contract. I hope that is the case, and a two or three year deal at that.

However, I do feel that Jules deserves a testimonial at Palace once he decides to hang up his gloves. He has been a great servant of the club and embodies Palace values as well as pulling off some amazing saves that have helped cement our Premier League status for at least another season. He has also invested in the local area and I for one am holding out hope of a second Speroni restaurant, preferable on Warlingham Green!

Plus testimonials are fun and help raise money for charity!

Supporting Crystal Palace since 19.45 on 29th August 1972 (approximately)!

Totally agree about the testimonial - preferably against an all-star line-up.

And I would like to see Jules play in the match - as a striker.

There would probably be a bumper crowd and he could put the proceeds towards opening a nationwide chain of eateries - one in every town/city where there is a premiership club so we could all look in for a pre-match, post-match meal.

Perhaps there could also be one in Dundee - his previous club

Jules was very magnanimous in seeking to console the distraught Suarez following the L'pool match. Top professional!

Fingers crossed he'll still get a late World Cup call up.

A testimonial against a top Argy team. Bring it on. Jules can open his goal-keeping school and show the rest how it's done. His replacement next season? Must be an equivalent....Ruddy. An international, nothing less to maintain the Jules' standard.

When his playing career is over, could a media career
beckon - perhaps on one of those cookery programmes beloved of the TV channels?

If Argentina don't pick him for the World Cup, Jules will take all the coaching badges and be goalkeeping coach for us then England (refusing Argentina). When he's finished that then be on the cookery programmes.
