Thought Jonathan pearce was very complimentary about our fans and our football, then again he almost comes across as a Palace fan whist commentating on Palace games.

I think you'll find he is an Arsenal fan, but his wife and her family are Palace and does have a soft spot for us.

I remember donkeys years ago sitting in the Old Stand, and JP was sitting behind me commentating for Capital Gold on a night game. I can't remember who we were playing but it was a dire game, and all you could here was Pearce screaming as though it was the 'El Classico'

Great commentator imo.

The irony?

Surridge's second goal came from a long ball from Gerrard. What did MOTD have to say to that? Brilliant.

Their first goal was after Ledley got mugged in our penalty area.

They had a deflected goal.
We had a deflected goal.

They scored a goal off an inch-perfect long pass from the halfway line.

They scored two goals in two minutes in the 2nd half.
We scored two goals in two minutes in the 2nd half.

They scored a goal that came from a sweeping move that went end-to-end in a flash, and was set up by great interplay between their two strikers.

And yet, the pudnits (sic) on TV see all of this as being two different things when, clearly, the events were near-mirrors of each other.

Now you mention it...

Although things like the deflection are not directly comparable. Ours helped us more. Not to cheapen Delaney's great strike, of course.

I hope the pundits carry on like this to be honest. I don't care if we don't get the credit we deserve, if it means people like BR will come down and expect to put 10 past us and leave their goal exposed.

Not sure I totally agree. Their deflection wrong footed Speroni, ours took the ball slightly higher, not a lot of difference IMHO
