Yeah there's some wise words in this thread. I mean, promotion is so easy, that's why Sir Douglas 'Can Do No Wrong And Screw My Wife Till The Whole Postcode Can Hear Her And Then Wear My Wranglers And Hi-Tecs' Freedman left Palace to manage Bolton. Yes that's right, he though it was so easy he'd thought he'd go and manage a club where it would be even easier to get promoted. And another thing, can someone please remind us all, wasn't everyone sh1tting it when DF left? Didn't everyone go mad at his audacity and that it'd all go t1ts up? So if it was so easy, why all the panic? Another. The 8 game run started after Bolasie, Delaney & Moritz joined (vs teams that ended up finishing badly in the table it should be noted). Therefore, do people not also think we were a bit vulnerable and predictable?

IH is a Championship specialist. Give him good players and a team that can score goals and he will near enough or actually maximise your points tally. Above that to manage in a league that purchases the some of the most costly players in the world is a lot for most managers. That is what Millwall need right now. The chance to get 3 points, and he's started to do it just in time. If he gets a few loans in next season I wouldn't count on them being relegated. Draws aren't as big in the Champ as they are in the Prem. You get draws anyway, no need to play for them.

I swear people just spend their lives looking for an excuse to be offended. Bloke says hardly anything and he's "bitter" and "Backbiting"...

it's the bitter backbiting and also taking the job at Millwall that rankles. Should he have said "I'm sorry I can't accept the job as one or two fans at my old club don't like Millwall" "I am now a Palace fan and always will be," Holloway said. Now go back to what else I said about him saying the right things to the right people at the right times. The blokes full of s*** and unfortunately he's done it everywhere he's been.
My point exactly done the same with Blackpool and Leicester. Guy Is a bellend calling our supporters pathetic with "offensive" chants, Ridiculing the Brighton rivalry, Saying he would like Liverpool to put loads past us so he could here YNWA was it for me. Not at all, if you had any sense, you would have understood that he meant we want to win every game we play but I wouldn't expect you to recognise that.

He managed us to promotion; he realised he was out of his depth; he left graciously. What's the problem?

Surely being a Palace fan is all about the special times and savouring them and having those memories to look back on.If it was about winning we'd all support someone else. For me, I'll remember IH for the 2-0 at the andrex, although I wasn't there I'll always remember watching the game on the telly with my son and dancing around the living room..and the Watford game where I was with my dad, brother and my son. Special memories. Thanks Ian.
