I hope TP stays for a very long time.

I can't stop thinking what might had been, had he joined us earlier, instead of CPFC2010 keeping on that t*** holloway for as long as they did. I just think it's so funny that IH is now 'managing' the scumwall and look where they are! lol.

Or indeed what might have been had Dougie not resigned. We were nailed on for automatic promotion at the time. The wheels came off when he left.

Nailed on!? You must be having a laugh. He had an 8 game unbeaten run after losing the first 3 games! That's not nailed on!! I think Boro were actually above us when he resigned and look what happened to them in the end last season. There's no such thing as nailed on.

Think Jesus would be cross to hear that.

Don't get hung up.

You shouldn't talk about nailed on at Easter

Pulis spent a long time at Stoke, and it's understandable that he hasn't come into our club with a huge amount of affinity for the place. He doesn't come across as a mercenary or a sell-sword; he's just been utterly professional and that results have spoken for themselves.

Give it time, and I think he will grow closer to us. He's already made leaps and bounds in that respect anyway. We are in this all together, and TP's leadership was only half of this success. It still requires belief from the board, players and fans.

I think today might be the turning point.

Did he ever transform another club as he has done here?
He will realise the enormity of his achievement and begin to think of the next stage of development of the club.

I would imagine he might consider us a project with the aim of a top 6 club with a new stadium.

That would probably appeal to many top managers.

The future is red and blue.

TP would have to be a very chuffed little soldier I reckon.... He isn't going anywhere.... He has mentioned on a number of occasions, lots of positive things about the board, the chairman, the players the fans etc and his coaching staff....... He also refers to Fergie convincing him to take the " Project" on..... He is an outstanding professional and there is no doubt he sees a big future here at Palace..... Touché to him and Touché to the board.... You've all earned your $$$$ and as adoring fans, we are not just thankful but we look forward to seeing the club develop/ progress not just on the pitch but from an infrastructure perspective as well...... Congratulations everyone...
Woot hoot

There's a west wing episode where Richard schiff is asking if he was the first choice for his job and Martin sheen as president Bartlett says 'you weren't the first choice but you were the right choice and I'm so glad we took you on, we wouldn't have won without you'. I can't help but think of that quote when I think of pulis and palace. I think he was the boards first choice but I don't think we were his. That said I don't think us , the players, the board or pulis would have wanted it to go any other way.

I think Pulis is his own man. I don't think he feels any particular connection to Palace at all, but as the total professional is doing his job. He is also building his reputation as being able to extract the maximum from players.

I predict him to be seriously considered to be the next England manager. Can you imagine him getting the best out of what there is available?
