Was Just wondering if people think our FYP has been the most successful in History. I'm not counting teams that have had big money men throw millions at it, or the likes of Man u or Arsenal who when Fergie and Wenger took over had some sort of plan to move forward, but they were already fairly successful anyway. What I'm wondering is how our journey is comparing with the start of the journeys of say Southampton and Stoke.

I don't see it as a five year job. Just, over the years, a positive incline. In the past PALACE have let it slip and headed south with little learned or gained. I live in hope this time Palace are going places, so that, even in future adversity, there is still something to show. We live in hope.

Is it just a hollow saying then , when teams seem to suffer a period of turmoil and new owners come in , that the club is about to embark on a five year plan . It seems a lot of teams have said it.

Dunno for me it seems pretty successful.

To my memory it goes:

CPFC2010 take over and then:

Season1: Start off with George Burley, we do pretty crap up until losing at Millwall and he gets the sack and eventually Dougie takes over. Dougie saves us.

Season2: Palace get to Carling Cup Semi and are safe about ten games from the end of the season.

Season3: Palace fly high after bad start then Dougie deserts us for cash at Bolton. Holloway comes in and we get promotion after dumping gobby rivals out in the semis at their gaff and then udinese B at Wembley.

Season4: Holloway leaves after s*** start to the season and Pulis takes over. Palace do rather nicely once Sir Tony is in position.

Season5: Palace win the league with ten games to spare and get to the FA Cup final beating a very lacklustre Brighton side who all leave after 80 minutes (including the players).

I may have made up season 5.
