One of the big things for me is our academy - it would be great to stay in the premiership long enough to see some of the new Zaha's and Moses's actually play for us. At the same time I worry that trying to be a mid table club means it will be difficult to blood the young ones... just look at Tom Ince £1m and just 3 games.

It looks likely that the club that spent the most in getting to and trying to stay in the Premiership is going to be the one being relegated. After all the criticism, it seems that Palace's transfer policy has worked. Lets hope we can repeat it year on year. Not quite sure that the transfer policy worked - not the Holloway one from last summer anyway, although it depends on how you look at it. He brought in 16 players to find just a handful that actually made a real contribution ... Puncheon, Chamakh, Jerome ( to an extent) Bannan ( first half of season) and Mariappa. I suppose with so many coming in he had to get something right. TPs transfer window buys were more astute with Dann and Ledley being pretty well ever present since their arrival.

Got to admit, I was one of the people who was looking forward to relegation and getting back to a proper division next season, as I thought that the gap between us and the money boys was so vast that we simply wouldn't be able to compete and it would just be a miserable existence. After last nights performance, It showed me how much we have moved on as a club, and can actually compete in this division. I am happy to say I was wrong and now realise that the Championship is not as i thought a better experience, just a different experience. As it looks like we will stay in this division now, i am ready to embrace the new season and am already excited about new players that may come and what upsets we can cause. Will still always be on guard for fans who start to expect us to be instantly successful.

One big advantage to staying in the Premier League is the ability to improve the club's infrastructure. Already we have bought the training facilities and given Selhurst a lick of paint. I know that now we are staying up that the pitch is going to be dug up and undersoil heating installed. Another great feature we've never had. No more frozen pitches! Renovating Selhurst and hopefully increasing the capacity would be next and this would be the biggest benefit to staying in this division IMO.

This is the difficult bit. but what you have to remember is that every other club will improve and invest in their team as much as their resources allow. If we don't do the same then we will get left behind. Second season syndrome beware. Agreed. Sorry in my mind too early to talk about next season let's enjoy and be thrilled by us at Wet Spam this Saturday and the others to come, we have proved we are not an easy side to beat and who knows what we can pull out of the bag against Liverpool and City.
