Give me a spruced up Selhurst any day,Don't want a soulless bowl in the middle of nowhere. That's kinda disrespectful to those who would fill the new stadium. I guess you don't 'lose' your soul when you move house, so why would Palace and it's fans 'moving home' be any different bud?
To me an improved SP would be the best option because I love grounds embedded in a community. Don't much like Amex, do like the Valley. Preferred Highbury to the Emirates, although the Emirates isn't a bad example of its kind. I absolutely love the Holmesdale, if only they could open the bottom part and make the exits work better. It doesn't mean I wouldn't go to a new stadium in the National Arena, or indeed somewhere green for a new build. But I would prefer a gradual rebuild like at the Valley. And yes, some people regret moving from their home into something more purpose-built - which may fit their needs better but lack the history, connotations and ghosts.

Agree, a revamped Selhurst would be much better than a new stadium. I don't like the new stadiums, they don't have any character and all look the same.

the big clubs all stayed in smaller, cramped stadia whilst they were getting bigger before getting purpose built grounds in the local area, spurs are only just doing it now. Renovate/rebuild Selhurst, add to it bit by bit as the team gets stronger and more established - then, when things are stronger, move out to a purpose built goliath of a stadium, when our new billionaire owners take over and buy the ageing Westfield shopping centre, flatten it and give us a reason to go to central Croydon once more.....

It makes me laugh when fans get exited about other people at the club coining it in while ticket prices are outrageously high when you consider the supporters' contribution to the Premiership brand. Do you think the owner's are going to give you any of this money? They are not even going to reduce or freeze prices with all this extra cash, which is bonus income they did not even account for at the start of the season. We have been told all season that our support is worth extra points so where is our reward? Without the fans in the ground the Premier would have no TV coverage to sell at huge profit around the world. Who would want to subscribe to matches played in empty stadiums? In fact the more I think about it there is a strong argument to suggest we should be paid to be there.
