Also, I refrained from abuse, merely referring to how you may have been answered. Also...Living in Rochester, you probably don't know where Gypsy Hill is. Slightly closer to Crystal Palace than Strood. Sorry Tim, really only joking. In fact I was born round the corner to Gypsy Hill and went to Kingsdale (for my sins)! x

Thought KG was one of the players from the promoted team who adapted better earlier in the season. However, forget all the stuff about systems, Ledley is a much better player, more versatile and has a goal in him. Also think Chamakh was quality in the advanced midfield position when he came on and that the eleven after the substitution is currently our strongest line up. Only thing I would question is whether Bolasie is a better player than Ince although understand that YB probably offers more when we don't have the ball (which is most of the time)

I was watching the line during this incident. Chamakh was doing his final warm up and was called to the dugout, before there was any indication of KG being injured. Alex Manos ran out and gestured to KG to go to the ground. Which he duly did. Then he was subbed. Maybe I misinterpreted what happened, but this is what it looked like to me. Tactical change, under the illusionary auspices of an injury? Or plain chaos theory on my account? The Truth is out there. KG had signalled the bench that he was having a problem before then. He played on until it was safe to go down.

Wasn't having his best game today before he was subbed off, but there have been times when he's been fantastic. Plus Jedinak always seems to play a bit better when KG is next to him, which is always a bonus.
Yeah same.I think all this "Jedinak plays better with him in team" and "you only realise how good he is when he's not there" rubbish is all a bit of a myth now.Not slating him because he's actually looked a lot better the last few games but we definitely didn't miss him yesterday. We didn't miss him yesterday, but if he hadn't been here for the whole season, I think we would have missed him. Look at it this way, we've all hailed Tony Pulis for what he's done here, and if he continues to pick KG, then I have total faith in him, as he wouldn't be picked if he wasn't doing something right. Also been reported that lots of clubs (some better than us) are interested in him. Don't get me wrong, he's by no means our best player, and didn't play particularly well for the 10 minutes he was on the pitch yesterday, but personally i think he is an important player for the team. Yes we did, he went off after 18mins, it took us until about the 30-35mins to settle down and reorganize ourselves, from then on we took over. So we only missed him for about 12 minutes

KG is an important player for us defensively, and allows Jedi to get forward more, whilst forcing play wide into the channels (allowing the midfielder and full back to control the attack, without committing the centre back). Wins balls in the air, and links with short passes into midfield. He's calm, level headed and a true team player. Also allows for cover if the full back is out of position. Hardly exciting, never glamourous but his positioning and work rate is brilliant. His inability to hit a ball at target is worrying, especially given he used to be quite decent at that when he first came in. Sometimes I think he makes very good longer passes, but into areas where we should be, rather than are.
