It is great for CPFC to have a great keeper and a good keeper, henn will become great but needs a mentor and that we have in our beloved Speroni. May the best man win next season, but reality is Speroni is coming to the end, and The Hen is learning. Hope my goulash is OK!

If there was one other 'keeper in the Championship who could argue for best in the league, it was Schmeichel.

He has age on his side; why would Leicester want Speroni? To be a good back-up? I think Speroni would rather stay here in that case.

Unless young Kasper is on the move?

I'm afraid he doesn't do it for me.
Seen him a few times on TV and also seen him at games I have attended.

It's very possible that Speroni's excellent form has coincided with no contract offer. His next contract will probably be his last and he will want to get as decent a paycheck as possible whether here or elsewhere.

Hennessy is injury prone. Would be football suicide to let Jules go without a quality goalie signed.

He has his moments for sure, his relative inexperience probably lends to that. He is highly thought of though.

Edit: His contract is due up at the end of the season. I'd hazard a guess that this story is an agent trying to put pressure on either club to sign their respective player.

There 's also the question of Jules' testimonial? Will he get that in August.?

IMO he 's not in a good bargaining position for a new contract. His family is settled here and he has a restaurant. Palace will be able to retain him on the cheap, knowing he doesn't want to leave.

My guess is that he will start next season on the bench, but he may get an early recall.

However, it's vital Hennessy get a fair crack. We have to back whoever is between the sticks

One other point - TP doesn't seem to be keen on cult heroes. He will want to build his own team - not meld one that was created by previous managers.

That's always assuming that TP is not poached by a club with deeper pockets.

Why would any manager drop our most consistent player without good reason. If Speroni's standards started to drop then he might be dropped but surely not just for the sake of it.

If Pulis doesn't like cult heroes will he be dropping Jedinak too?

I will f*cking get mad at the board if they EVER let him go. But then again, if he does go to the world cup and plays well there might be big clubs after him.

I would have thought that any football manager would have played the in form players whether they be cult heroes or not. To build his own team will take some time and even if we stay up we have to be ready to do very much better next season so I would doubt Pulis would want to dismantle everything he has got just to have his own team. Over the next two or three seasons Pulis will build as he wants his team to look like but not right away.

There's a lot of emotion about this.....But really it's quite simple.

Palace don't spend millions on a new goalkeeper and then keep him as a back up for multiple seasons.

Speroni will be offered a contract as a back up.....He will probably and rightly reject it as he's had an amazing season and won't see out his playing days on the bench.

Pulis is looking long term.....I'm afraid you are just going to have to get use to Wayne Hennessey.

It would make a lot of sense for any promoted team to grab Speroni......He has won us points this season as apart of a truly effective defence.

Yes, you must be right. TPs done the business and must see it through. A new for old, but at least new is a decent replacement.

Another thought. If Jules wants to stay in the area for the sake of his family and business, then Palace are not the only club around.
