Cannot believe it's been 24 years today that we beat the great Liverpool team against all the odds(well the media never gave us a prayer). who was there that day and what memories or recollections do you have?

A memory that sticks in my mind was that we were some of the first through the turnstiles and up onto the holte end, It was the first time I'd been there and I was stunned what a massive terrace it was. We started kicking a ball around we had so much space until it started filling up. Another memory was coming home and watching it back on TV and seeing big mal being interviewed at half time, when we were 1-0 down and when all around him were wetting themselves over how good Liverpool were and how many they were going to win by, he was the only one to say he still fancied Palace to win.....legend

I think that next year, all games should kick off 7 minutes late in respect of the 25th anniversary of how many minutes we were away from achieving our rightful destiny.

I was behind the dug outs and remember the south croydon boys winding up "king kenny" while the game was on by banging on the roof of his box as he was trying to sort out his team, he was nt happy and like to think it might have played a small part in the result!

Tears, hugging strangers, thinking of my dad who'd died a couple of years before and what he would have made of it!

All I can remember was that it was like some kind of surreal experience. I left Canada at 8pm on the Friday, arrived Gatwick around 8am on the Saturday. Took the train up to Croydon and started to see Palace scarves out and about early in the day. Picked up the match tickets at the box office and then jumped the train up to London and on to Villa Park.

I was seated between the dug outs and the tunnel, will always remember the smug grin on Daglish's face at half-time. Funny it had disappeared by the end!!
