Just back from Wales, what a result that was, it could easily have been more towards the end.

First half was a quite open, Puncheon had a couple of tame shots, they had quite a few corners and free kicks but their final ball was poor and we defended well. Puncheon's first, came to him at top of box, and managed to wrong foot everyone to open the scoring.

Second half we started defending deep and hitting them on the counter attack, but just lacked that finishing touch. On comes Chamack, his header saved, leaving Ledley to poke into an empty net. Puncheon's second was sheer class, great run and great curving shot into roof of the net.

After our second goal, their heads dropped and we had some space and time on the ball. The way they played and defended reminded me of us under Holloway!!

Our support was immense as ever, and some good banter with the Welsh.

In first half, the song was "Wilfred Zaha he wants to come home etc". When they had a corner midway through the fist half by our fans, he applauded us for the song. Bet that went down well in Cardiff dressing room. Still Palace in his heart.

Another 3 points, not safe quite yet, but on the right road.

Cheers mate. A decent write up. Bet the Palace were in full voice. Looking forward to watching it on MOD tonight.

cardiff has the weakest support i have ever seen for a newly promoted team.

this was their biggest game of the year and their supporters barely said a fcuking word.

hope they enjoy the championship next year. vinny tan gets what he deserves.

Looking forward to watching on Sky 1 10pm tonight Red Button and see a hour of the match instead of 15 mins on Match of the dayif that , will watch that as well later,
It sounds like the best match this year just behind last weeks.
Almost safe ?

Yeap we were in full voice and bouncing around, even at the end was "we are staying up".

Cardiff support was pretty s*** considering the importance of the game, they started leaving from 85 minutes in, by full time ground was pretty empty. Palace end didn't empty for long time after final whistle.

Here's my thoughts on ratings

Speroni 7 - caught all the crosses but didn't have a save to make
Mariappa 8 - very solid and supported Punch well
Ward 7 - dealt with Wilf well but doesn't get forward as well on the left
Dann, Delaney 8 - neither put a foot wrong all day
Bolasie 6 - frustrating as ever
KG and Jedi 7 - both very solid, protected the defence well and used the ball quite well
Ledley 7 - tidy
Punch 9 - superb, could have had a hat trick
Jerome 6 - runs all day but is a bit rubbish

Chamakh looked class when he came on and FFS looked sharp too.

Was sat with my Cardiff supporting mate in with the Cardiff supporters today, was a tough afternoon not because it was a nervy tough game because on the whole we made it a walk in the park but when Punch's 2nd went in it took everything not to jump up and celebrate with the rest of the red n blue army. You were fantastic today, totally outsung the home fans which I heard people around me saying. Cardiff were poor on and off the pitch. Roll on the Villa game, PTID !!!!
