Hey folks,

A fantastic result last week against Chelsea, and now survival is tantalisingly close.

Does Pulis deserve recognition for his achievements this season? If he keeps the club up, should he be manager of the year?

This article makes the case for him and a couple of others to be considered, and features a poll where you can vote for Pulis.

What do we think?

I think Rogers will get it if Liverpool win the title. But if anyone else wins the title, I reckon Pulis has got a chance (if we stay up!!)

^^^This.

I'm tough. I'm ambitious. I know exactly what I want. If that makes me a bitch, I'm OK with that.

I think Rogers will win it regardless.

Pulis, Bruce, Pocchetino and Martinez are the other candidates IMO.

Also, you say in the article: "His impact was almost immediate. A win in his first game away at Steve Bruce’s Hull City". It was actually Keith Millen in charge of the Hull game, Pulis watched from the stands.

The fans can vote on this? Now which clubs have the most fans?

It'll go to Rodgers, because Liverpool is high profile and top of the league, but Pulis's achievements are at least on a par with Rodgers (and Pulis did it without a transfer budget or arguably window).

Surely today's result puts Pulis further up the contenders list for Manager of the Year?

He inherited a side that had lost 9 games out of the first 10! Imagine if he'd had those games to pick points up in as well.

Still time to vote - [Link]

Savage reckons it will be Rodgers so he must be in with a chance.
