Whilst I don't share your irrational hatred of Croydon I do agree with you. Unfortunately there's no space north of Selhurst. If we did move to say Lambeth, I can see the residents, council and media claiming crystal palace as a Lambeth club and thus you'll start an irrational hatred of all things Lambeth! Having lived and worked in Lambeth (Dunraven School) I can't imagine any football club in that borough, never mind CPFC. The attitude of that council is rather against what a football club represents in a community. Unless things have changed a great deal there since the 1990s (always a possibility), Palace would be seen as "bourgeois" (I had to look it up) and gentrifying the area. We are much better of somewhere in Croydon, preferably Selhurst but if not somewhere that will allow the club to grow. SP saying the Crystal Palace is not viable is probably correct, neighborhood opposition is way too intense. They would probably oppose a new Palace in the park, given the websites the opponents to us have put up. We should take a lesson from what happened to Wimbledon, a very unenthusiastic council and neighborhood opposition = move first to us and then to Cowtown. Let's do what we can do with Selhurst, the Main Stand needs immediate attention for safety reasons.

You don't have to be a keyboard warrior to aspire to better. Something MUST BE DONE with the old ground and I'm saying aim as high as possible. SP doesn't need to s*** gold ingots, he only has to make sure Palace develop in a way that will give Palace the very best and the biggest in the belief Palace will get bigger and better. If you don't believe Palace are going places, stick with what we've got. Why waste time and money trying improve?

After an interesting pub discussion last night and guess it has been mentioned before, but if there was to be a new stadium, what about somewhere on the Croydon Airport site off the Purley Way?

As it would appear that we are all scratching around the site looking for any little snippets of information on potential transfers and ground redevelopments. I thought I would ask has anyone been up to the ground in the last few days? Any work being done on the pitch? Underground heating etc? As we are all clearly bored already of the closed season it would be good if someone could give us a fix by putting some photos of any activity around Selhurst or even Beckenham.

There's a recent aerial picture around somewhere on here but I can't remember where I saw it.
