Lucky Hennessey. Gets good wages without playing, has the best example and coach in Jules and Woody and knows if TP really fancied him as the best in the club, he would indeed be playing. All that and doesn't have to live in Wales. Everything else is speculation.

Very disappointed by Pulis' glib comments about Jules performance whilst he has waxed lyrical about that of Bolasie and Puncheon in other articles and praised Chamakh up to the eye balls prior to his return.

Comments not lost on the journo from the Daily Mail in a similar article.

Those who think that Hennessey is going to be an upgrade will be badly disappointed IMO.

I've noticed and been a bit disappointed with Pulis's comments about JS over the season, he always plays down his performances and even when asked about JS pulling off great performances he always reverts to the fact there are 10 or 11 great performers... with other players he is far more positive when they have played well or when discussing their contribution.

Me too - he plays down Jules quite a lot doesnt he ???

Of course he does, Hennessey is his choice.!. Pulis likes certain players and dislikes others so although Jules is top draw he probably will never satisfy Pulis. I think Jules may have to retire because if I were he I would not play second fiddle at Selhurst!.

Is he though ?

If he was then Pulis could have shoved him in at any point, and give TP doesnt exactly strtike me as a bloke to make decisions based on his own ego (or sentiment for that matter) I wonder if its more a case he wanted two good keppers and Jules pushed - something Price and Alexander werent going to do in a million years

Jules has been absolutely outstanding since Hennesseys arrival and wonder if Pulis just had it nailed in getting more from him ????

Blind Eagle is the American Maxi. He has an agenda against Pulis and is boring. I mean how can he justify Hennessy being his choice. Speroni is the keeper being picked and TBH I don't think Pulis would give a monkeys toss whether he is a club hero or not. He has to earn his spot like he has done and rightly so. Pulis praises Jules often to many conspiracy theorists here who notice because the media praised Jules and Pulis said "yes he pulled some fantastic saves but it was a team effort". These agendas against our manager has to stop because what will happen is Pulis will stabilise us, a few years down the line he will leave, the purists will come out of their shells and w*** in Unison over the thought of some unknown Spanish coach and we will see palace relegated.

We all know how good Jules is and so does TP. He starts every game. What is the advantage of telling the world how good Speroni is? He only bigs up Cham and Punch because they are both under-confident players who need a boost. Does he say anything about DD? Nope...

If Vanderbilt sat played until 40 in United, so can Jules.
He is by far our best player.
He went through everything in 10 years and stil plays for us.
A legend.

makes financial sense to wait til we know if we are safe til we offer him a new contract.

i love jules as much as the next palace fan...but there is no point in having 2 high earning keepers if we are in the championship.

Blind Eagle aka The American Maxi, whatever that means, was born, bred and lived in Portland Road,South Norward. He has been a Palace supporter for seventy years having gone to Selhurst for the first time at age ten. He does not have an agenda against Pulis who he regards highly and believes Pulis is intelligent enough not to read the crap that appears on The Web. But that does not mean he always agrees with him. Perhaps when Pulis keeps us up and is declared God by popular opinion Blind Eagle will change his mind somewhat.Pulis bought Hennessey when many fans debated whether we needed another expensive keeper rather than a prolific striker so Pulis must know something we do not. Thanks for your opinion but just a word of advice mate, never let your posts get personal because they have a tendency to come back and bite you!. It also shows bad taste and a lack of manners. I think all of us on The Web believe we know every thing about football but like me most of us posters know damn all. Cheer up mate and be sociable and please join me in saying , bless all Palace fans be they long, short, bald or tall.

I would say it is pretty obvious we are just stalling to force down his wage expectation.

I'm glad the club seems to be run a little closer to the real business world. Whilst there is room for some sentiment we should also be looking to negotiate the best deal possible for the club.

To often in the past we have been frivolous in times of plenty.

Obvious? how so?

In that we are letting his contract run down knowing that he has certain ties to the club and the area (family etc) making him less likely to sign a contract with someone else.

He is much more likely to sign a reduced contract when his contract expires in a couple of weeks than when he still has 6 months left and numerous other options. Also, if we were going down we would pay him Championship wages.

Maybe it isn't 'obvious' as this is all completely based on guess work
