I used to live in Sutton when I was a kid. I recall that they used to let the mildly insane out of the mental asylum in Banstead on a Sunday afternoon. A number of them used to catch the bus into Sutton - it was never boring!!!!
Think its been converted to posh houses now?

But I really don't think you should get angry with anyone on here. Whether or not you think they may be hard of thinking. Referring to the earlier posters, Banstead Hospital (I think called Downview at one point) closed in 1986. And by the way, transportation of lunatics to Australia ceased officially in 1868.
