How could it be our best result and performance? We didn't even score!

Fabulous result etc and great to be there and felt sooo good but did not give the total euphoria feeling of Burnley/Villa Park/Stockport/Hillsborough for me (wasn't at the amex unfortunately for either the 3-1 or the 2 nil so they're probably up there for those that were there)

If you only started supporting Palace this season then yes best result ever. Totally disagree with this. Ive supported Palace for over 20 years and for me, its be best reult we have ever had. Here is why. Play Offs are amazing; the victory against Shef Utd was one of the best days out ive ever had but these finals, like our victories against Brighton or the vital win against Shef Wed were achieved against mediocre opposition. Granted, we were comparable in terms of quality to these teams and on these occasions but the gulf in squads between Palace and Chelsea is absolutely massive, as was the significance of Saturdays game. Staying in the Premierl League, which this victory may well make possible will do more for us us as a club than any other IMHO. The 4-3 against Liverpool is clearly up there and defo the most famous of my lifetime; i just think the manner of the Chelsea victory achieved with the players we have when considering where we were 6 months ago is unprecedented in its geniusness.

Wolves FA Cup 3-0 Danny Butterfield six minute perfect hatrick. Best six minutes of Palace football ever... Not our best game, or most important game, but those six minutes in which our right back, who hadn't scored in six years, obtained an almost unheard of achievement in the annuals of football. Only Dougie Freedman and Peter Simpson can really touch that (in terms of scoring achievement).

Great result, but not the greatest. Too many other far more important games, plus of course 4-3 .v. Liverpool in the smae season they'd beaten us 9-0. However, apparently it is the first time we've ever beaten the team top of the top division (Premier League, or Division 1 before), so that does give it a place in history !

It was a fantastic result and performance but there's a good few to at least match or beat it. The 4 -3 Liverpool semi will always be the best result and day for me in my nearly 30 years following Palace, I can still feel the copper hitting my knuckles when I climbed the security fence to celebrate separating us from the scousers when Gray's goal went in lol. the Stockport and Sheff. Wed. games because what they meant. There was a game against Portsmouth which we needed to win to have any chance of staying up and if my memory serves me right we went down there and won 4 - 2 that was quite and evening, the 5 - 0 and last seasons 2 - 0 against the Weed and you would have to throw the 1979 Burnley promotion game in even though I wasn't at the last 2 to name a few ...

Loved the 5-0 Manure , i was on the Holmesdale, still watch it regularly on DVD. However they were rubbish at the time, and sacked their Manager , rFank O'Farrell the next day to make it even sweeter!!! I think Man Utd were relegated that season, so for me the Chelsea result is much better for stature Quote est1905 at 31 Mar 2014 7.44pm
Before my time but I think Palace's debut season in the top division when we beat a full strength Man United 5 0 and Don Rodgers announced himself to the world would probably be listed as Palace's greatest ever result by outsiders.

Oh dear. I thought Palace drew 2-2 against Utd in their first season at the top and the great Donny Rogers signed in their 4th season up, scoring v Utd in a 5-0 victory. But the first match that came to mind among the many good victories Palace have enjoyed is the 4-3 v Liverpool. But the very best victory is the one next game up v Cardfiff.
