Goal difference not points alone could be the difference that sends us or others down, so the amount of goals conceded as well as scored will undoubtedly come heavily into the equation which, no doubt is firmly in TP's mind.

We don't leak them but at the other end our record is pretty woeful and whilst the tactics are to be watertight at the back and either get the point or nick a goal for a win, all you need is a Newcastle moment and we walk away pointless.

A fine line to walk and with the games against the top three coming up it will be interesting to see what tactics are employed. Villa took the game to Chelsea and won which, I feel we should do and the change I would make in midfield to assist ths is Bannon for KG, no other reason than he will go at them and be box to box. If we park the bus at home we may well have a Man Utd moment.

We need Liverpool to tear Sunderland a new one tonight, smash their goal difference and confidence to pieces.

Hull win would be good, drag West Ham back into it, which is good, as they are a team we still have to play!

can we not just shoot from just before the half way line to reduce our risk of conceding?

Unfortunately TP can't miraculously find us a new striker who can guarantee goals so we are always going to struggle to score. We just need to continue to grind out results. We've come really far as a club and should be proud we are still in the hunt for survival against teams with far greater resources than us.

It's going to be frustrating but we just might get 3 results which could keep us up.
