He's been back for about three weeks now. Not good enough for our side, hopefully we'll sell him and get a couple of hundred grand for him in the summer.

Agreed at present he is not good enough...but may be a late developer. Who knows? Time will tell but it probably won't be with us.

So I manage a Workshop which provides a safe learning environment for blokes struggling with PTSD and other mental health issues. Being a Palace fan isn't listed yet.

Good move for him, hope he does well and could make it a permanent one. That's be honest he is not going to play for Palace.

The ups and downs of Palace have left me older than my years

At 23 he must surely no longer be learning his trade. Usually if Palace have a 'young ' player who hasn't cut by 21 at most, they are moved on. So there must be something there, unless he was given a expensive to break contract by mistake. The youth set up is pretty good at Palace and they must know and see something.

Also I am reminded of Lewis Grabbam. Another two in the week.

He isn't a youth player , we signed him when he was 21 from margate when he score like 30 something goals in as many games, that's why he is a little older, not good enough though I'm afraid he has played a reasonable amount of games at a lower league level and hasn't scored many goals and at 23 he is starting to loose the young and promising tag.

No I haven't said he was from our youth team, but his was a young, promising player when Palace signed him and the youth set-up will have had the job to get him up to scratch. As I said, if he hasn't got there yet, like other young players, he should have been moved on. Unless the youth coaches have seen something.
