The quality of football's not been great, but did anyone seriously expect anything other than a dog fight this season? After the Foolham debacle, all of us would've taken the position we're in now at the end of march and I'm cool with the fact that if we do go down at least they've done us proud and given it a go.

On current form and with the tactics we are using I just don't see salvation and I can't see us winning any of our remaining fixtures Wouldn't it be better to be a little bolder and try to score some goals? If we do this and still go down then at least we'll be entertained and can hold our head high.

In reality in this league when we are playing away from home or a top five team home or away we have to set up to play defensively. The reason its dull for so many to watch is our strikers are toothless and I'm sorry to say I include Murray in that at the present time.

I think you're wrong, we've far from embarrassed ourselves, teams know they've been in a game against us, arsenal got embarrassed at chelski, we didn't, we put up a fight, several teams have been embarrassed by man city, we gave them one of their toughest games at the etihad.

I just think we are better than we think and I mean the team/players themselves, we just don't seem to believe we can sustain forward momentum and revert back to the Alamo type mindset.

i'm really having trouble with football as an entity and especially this season. I pay my money to be entertained each weekend, thats why we watch football, an escape, a day out and to be entertained. In some ways, watching a 9 goal bounce around would be preferable to a dour 0:0 and yet in others (relegation) it isnt and the points and safety are the no 1 issue. I've not enjoyed much of watching Palace this season , either live or results-wise as its been so flat, I only hope we somehow manage to survive the next 8 games and next year stiffen up a bit and make more of a go of it. I go to Palace because they are my team, they have been for 34 years and will be for however long I have left. I go for the atmosphere and hopefully to see them win and competing with the best. If to satisfy all these things we need to grind out a season then so be it - I'm here for the long haul after all. I don't go for entertainment - I don't consider it a show where I must get my money's worth because I am a supporter not a customer. I get my entertainment from the above, but hey if we can spank in a few goals then even better but it's not why I go. Thats exactly how I feel about palace. Agreed, It's all about meeting mates and having a few beers before and after the game and enjoying yourself, don't analyse the 'product' too much. We've always played sh!t football, we've always, been underdogs, nothing has changed this season apart form the fact that our owners don't have to come up with 3-5m quid for OUR enjoyment. Next year when we're still in the prem, we've got another £60m in the bank and we won't be the least attractive club in the division and we'll be able to attract better players. You've jumped to a massive conclusion there! To me the quality of football isn't the be all and end all, as I've already said. My comment re us not being the least attractive club was from a player's perspective, if we're a prem side we'll be able to attract better players and as a consequence the football should be better, step by step.

Some people honestly! Some of you expected us to get promoted and turn in Barca or something. It's all about gradual progress and we've got a huge gulf to in qualityn to catch up with.
