I heard something about a new palace book detailing the history of the club ? be a great gift for my 72 year old dad who has supported them all his life and use to live right next to the ground in the 40's.

Any got a link to that book ?

cheerz.

Try the club shop. Reverend Nigel Sands wrote a very good one, but very dated. 'Careful what you wish for', by the ex chairman Simon Jordan has history for a short time, but is salutary. Beware! Considering Crystal Palace started out as a works team, their story doesn't really start until well within your Dad's life time. The old pile of mud and the higher level of playing staff really only developed from after the war. I think your Dad will have a greater fund of memories than most books you should find. Ask him for some and write them onto a thread for us all to share. I'd enjoy them for one!

A Complete Record by Ian King - an absolute bible of inch thick propertions. Something he'll go back to again and again as it's got just about every result ever, and coverage of everything Palace you could imagine
