I thought the hype for Shaun Wright Phillips was overkill, then Chelsea signed him for 22m so if your Dad used to be a big name in the Premiership I guess you try and live up to the billing. Poor Tom is not quite there yet.

Looks a bit lightweight - easily brushed off the ball. Unfortunately he is not the sort of player Pulis is looking to use at the moment. Perhaps it's all a masterplan to get his value down so we can get him cheap in the summer?

Who cares about the summer ,we need a kin g/s now.

We pulled out all the stops to get him so the question has to be asked. Whos decision was it to bring him here? Tom Ince is not the type of forward associated with Pulis, he can't defend from the front, head corners away and tackle, all the qualities TP looks for first when assessing a striker. If he scores a few goals thats a bonus. With our tactics we need a player who can get a goal out of nothing, only Gayle and Ince can do that but they are not playing because of the aforementioned reasons.
If it was the boards choice to bring him here over Pulis's head then that could be the reason he's not getting a look in. Ince should have gone to Swansea or after what i saw yesterday, Stoke. He would have flourished more with either of them/

I want him to do well for us but if Sunderland was anything to go by...he is lightweight, doesn't postion himself, floats around, doesn't pick up anybody

And most inportantly he wears them fcking gloves...man up son

I said after his debut he scored in that the game passes him by when we don't have the ball. Without Puncheon mentoring him that day he would've been a traffic cone. The usual red & blue knicker wearing brigade wouldn't allow such an observation.

He has a huge amount to learn but fairs fair I doubt he thought he would be coming here to play inside his own half for 80% of the game - its not someting he would have ever had to do and he has shown that he cant.

He should watch Bolassie as to how you can play defensively , be strong and still carry a little bit of threat - Yala has been excellent last few games in playing a way that isnt his natural disposition

That move to Monaco in the summer must be in doubt now.

Wife beating may be socially acceptable in Sheffield, but it is a different matter in Cheltenham

I think Ince Snr and Ince Jr are more likely to be headed to Barry Island to pimp him rather that the Cote D'Azur at the end of the seaon tbh

Or maybe because his performances, West Brom aside, have been crap?

He was the worst player on the pitch at Swansea and Sunderland.

He has been the worst player on the pitch because he has attacking intent. He is an attacking 'luxury' player and therefore suffers from our 'all hands on deck' / Alamo mentality.

Additionally, on the rare opportunities he does get to express himself in an attacking capacity he is frequently isolated and therefore inevitably loses posession more than would ordinarily be the case.

Finally, he has looked better playing off the striker in a central role than shoved out on a wing. Against WBA he was able to play centrally with Punch and YB playing the winger roles. Since that game I believe we've played 2 from 3 of them with them all serving as wingers rather than central attacking midfielders.

Not Ince's fault, he is used to getting the ball in attacking areas, not having to beat an entire team on his own from the edge of his 18 yard box.

Bolasie has upped is game and is finding his rhythm and obviously it seems Punch has earned his right to start after a good spell of form and the permanent deal. Perhaps play Ince in behind Muzza? Otherwise I guess he should only be used as an impact sub.

This is a serious question because so much is at stake for goal-shy CPFC and this player was signed as a creator/finisher.

So far he has only completed the full 90 minutes in one game - his goal-scoring debut against WBA.

He started, but was subbed during the next two, came off the bench in his fourth, then started again and was subbed and yesterday did not feature at all.

Now, I was slaughtered on this site for questioning his ability before he kicked a ball for us and it now seems Pulis is not convinced.

I'd like to know how many Palace fans consider Ince a MUST start for our remaining games and how many have given up on him.

He scores more than Bolasie
