I know left back is not Ledley's preferred position and he has only played one game there against West Brom but I think TP should play him there against Newcastle. It is quite clear now that Parr and Moxey are not good enough for this level and it's evident Pulis does not trust either of them. The alternative is to play Ward at LB and bring Marriapa in at RB but again he has a mistake in him and TP has been reluctant to use him. For me I would play Ledley at LB and move Okeefe or Guedioura in alongside Jedi in the middle. Thoughts?

I disagree about Parr - I think he is fine.

Moving Ledley to LB makes our central midfield thinner and increases the odds of KG starting. As much as Parr / Moxey might not be trusted by Pulis, my opinion is that KG contributes less to the team than Parr does so would rather Parr plays to avoid more KG based bumbling around in the midfield.

I would stick with the same back four that faced Sunderland. Moxey and Parr have both been found wanting at this level and are not good enough for the Premier League. If we can stay up this year I would let both Moxey and Parr leave when their contracts expire this summer and make the signing of a left back a top priority. I wouldn't be unhappy with Ledley at left back against Newcastle but would rather see him in the middle of the park in his more natural position.

Personally I'm happy to leave selection, formation and tactics to Pulis.

totally agree with opinion but how is slating KG on a Joe Ledley at LB threat... Not really to the point is it and IMO right or wrong, doesn't add value to the thread? I think there's been plenty threads regarding KG Edited by ADW1988 (21 Mar 2014 4.55pm)
