We'll need to start scoring to stay up. We don't have to be really prolific, but we do actually need to score at Sunderland. Its an important game for us to win. Southampton and Swansea, could have gone better, but a point from those two games isn't that bad. Sunderland, West Ham, Cardiff and Villa - those games are going to be the vital games if we want to avoid going into the last game looking for something. Quite happy to go into the last game looking for something - Fulham are utterly dire and definitely going down.

A point at Fulham's achievable (although my poor little heart will take an almighty battering) but if we have to get all three, forget it.

We have not been a hoofball side this year. Some of the football has been good at times, problem is we don't have a great side who can pass the ball. Stokes football was not as bad as you would believe they got the hate from the media because the media would make them out to be the whipping boys yet they would cause upsets. Stoke could knock the ball around better then we could and score more then we could. Under Pulis we will always be a defensive side but he will want to build the team into a side that can also break with pace and strength and create in the final third. That's what we are missing. We have the solidarity of Stoke but not the footballing ability. This is not Pulis fault. He can only make us scrape points. Next year if we stay up the football will not be as bad. The first thing he will do is bring in an attacking full back. A Powerful winger. A Charlie Adam type midfielder (What were missing) and a big strong pacey striker who can finish. The future will be good under Pulis make no mistake. Also Pulis really rates Jonny he told sky sports Williams has a big future he just needs to stay fit and bulk up a bit. Pulis is making all the right decisions we have to progress slowly, we cannot turn into stoke over night because the truth is we are nowhere near as good as Stoke were. But Pulis will be init for the long term I have no doubt and he will turn us into an improved Stoke side. Why would Pulis play the likes of Bannan, Gayle, Williams, Campana (s*** for Nurnberg) when he has been winning games with the team he fields. Chin up guys the future is brighter then we think. He just has to make sure we stay up which I promise you we will.

TP is not blind and a long, long way from being stupid. This applies to the board as well. Like us in the stands they know we lack creativity and goalscorers. When we stay up I can see one wide player who is potentially a six to eight goal a season man coming in(Moses anyone?). Two new strikers with Jerome and Gayle going and Chamakh and Murray remaining. One new creative midfielder in the Charlie Adam mould who can both score and put in a tackle. Defensively we need a new left back and at least one new centre back. Of those out of contract only Speroni and Parr (as a back up) should be offered new contracts. It will be another season of wholesale changes but considerably more structured than the fiasco that was last July and August. We will, of course, not be winning the league but I expect us to end up around thirteenth or fourteenth. It is highly unlikely that there will be so many teams scrambling against the drop next season as there is this.
