He was deployed in a pretty negative three man defensive shield which we have to do because we just let the opposition have the ball all the time. He started higher up helping FFS close down, but eventually he drifted further and further back filling in gaps. It's what our players are under instruction to do, so he really can't be blamed for doing nothing of an offensive nature until late when we are chasing the game. Against teams like Southampton him, KG and Jedi end up chasing shadows.

thought the formation was pretty negative and Ledley was lost in that advanced role - clearly not his position, felt a bit sorry for him in all honesty. We are struggling to create chances so in a 3 man midfield I definitely would like to see Bannan. Also if we are going to play a 4-2-3-1 formation we need someone behind the striker who knows when to make runs etc - Ince did it ok against West Brom and has not been used there since, seemed the obvious option to me. In terms of KG all managers seem to like him but with Jedi playing so deep we really need a bit more from him - his passing and general game is just not good enough. I presumed Ledley would be his natural replacement so to start with all 3 is confusing. A point lost for me yesterday

for me this was his best game for us so far yesterday, looked so more positive, put john terry under pressure for the og and made a couple of great surging runs and had some good efforts, more please Joe!
