Once again the HOL making a mountain out of a molehill - this is not an outrage and he does not deserve this type of criticism, get off the lads back and let him do what he's doing.

You see managers head butting players, players getting other players sent off, players still diving about all over the gaff and a young upcoming english talent is getting a bit of media attention and he's labelled by the "best fans in the country" as a "mouthy c*** like his dad" who needs to "STFU"

Stop whinging, start supporting!

You're right.

Wife beating may be socially acceptable in Sheffield, but it is a different matter in Cheltenham

how come you're allowed to whinge then?

I would say he made an observation.....

Personally I reserve judgement on this. What I like is that he has the cojones (hah, that should beat the swear word software) to comment and that his comments seem pretty on-message.

What I don't like is that he seems to have become an unofficial spokesman for the team which is dodgy for one so young and so new. And a hiding to nothing if he doesn't play well.

But remember Aki, to have an erudite spokesman would be cracking.

I can't see anything wrong at all with his comments in this interview. He's pretty much spot on and it doesn't come off as bragging, a PR hype machine in action, his nasty dad Paul pulling the strings of self interest, or anything else he's getting slagged for.

If players can't even make innocuous observations like this without getting dogs abuse from their own fans, then we deserve the inane, hollow football narrative that we are served up every week by talentless football hacks and seemingly lobotomised pundits.

His supposed confidence in this interview wasn't him bigging himself up. He talked about the other players in the team and said that in the second half we played well. He's right.

His comments pregame weren't helpful and certainly weren't innocuous observations - otherwise the Swansea fans wouldn't have been so vocal and fired up to beat us.

Glad to see that most of us agree that Ince should let his feet do the talking.

Yeah I forgot how the vocal Swansea fans beat us.

So basically if a young player makes some innocuous (which they were, apart from to sensitive football fans who love to throw their toys out of the pram over any perceived outrage like a bunch of drama queens) comment, he is a cnt who should stfu and be slagged off. OK then

Its just opinion at the end of the day.

If you like what he did, that's all that matters.

My opinion is that Ince's pre-match comments weren't helpful, much like Freedman's before the semi with Cardiff. I must admit though that it did not bother me that much that I threw my toys out of the pram.... LOL, but was guilty of saying STFU Ince.

This forum would be boring if we all agreed.

If he continues to "slag off" the opposing team before we play them, then i'll continue to say STFU Ince.
Whatever he does i'll still support him on matchdays because thats what I do.
I suspect TP would have put him right on this and the implications it brings, and all fairness I believe his Dad would have also.
Time will tell

Then leave Pulis to manage our players - I'm sure if it was as big of a problem as some people on the site are claiming, then Pulis will address it.

All big names are subject to a lot of press releases, Ince was one of the more famous deals in the January transfer window.

All big players do a lot of press because people are genuinely interested in them - ESPECIALLY if there English and up coming.

Thanks for the advice, but I got that one covered. Are you condoning our players discussing the opposition prior to playing them every week in such a manner then?

Like I said, if its as big of a problem as is being perceived, then I am pretty confident Pulis will make sure its nipped in the bud.

And, also, just to make a point, I condone it much more than diving - there seems less outrage at Thomas than Ince

I agree with you there, diving is cheating.

I agree, better let his feet do the talking before matches, really unnecessarary for someone whose done little for the team so far should appoint himself unofficial spokesman. Come on Tom, lets have a goal against Southampton!
