Lol given what the tractor boys say up here at work, Ipswich are rotten this year. They are not going up is the consensus, and if they did it would be a horrendously embarrassing year in the premiership..

My Ipswich mate reckons he's gonna be played left mid in a 4-4-2... Great.

The problem with socialism is that you eventually run out of other people's money.

One of our main problems is that we can't keep the ball - in virtually every game the opposition have twice as much possessions as us which means that we're constantly on the back foot. Williams is perhaps our one player who can run with the ball at his feet so we can keep hold of the ball. Would much prefer him in our team now, but like Bannan, doesn't seem to have the stature that Pulis wants. Shame.

But our tactic is to play counter attacking football which is reflected in the stats. It's no good us changing our entire style to accommodate one player whilst we're in a relegation scrap. If over the next few years Pulis wants to change to a more possession based game then we'll see Jonny in the team along with others he brings in who have the skill to do that.

Good move for him, hope he gets game time nd does really well. I do fear that under TP we will never see Williams play any major part.

The ups and downs of Palace have left me older than my years

That's what we thought - if they go up they'll probably make 15 new signings and Big Mick usually makes a fist of it (ooerr) before being sacked when in the relegation zone.

As for Johnny - he's a good lad and all that but is he that good? Really? Don't know why people are peeing their pants over someone who is less gifted than Bannan from what I've seen. Lots of potential yes - but not world class.

You fed me, you bred me, I'll remember your name.

Pulis just said at his press conference when asked about Johnny's future at Palace:

'He has a massive future at this football club.'

Very reassuring to hear.
