My apologies, I hadn't heard or thought about Mata being cup tied, just heard a load of Manure fans phoning in on radio shows complaining about Moyes dropping him and the poor mans Wilf on the wing. Just shows they are as ignorant about their club as I thankfully am.

A few of the tabloids have stuff on their websites with great Twitter screenshots of clueless United fans calling for Moyes head for dropping Mata! Almost as embarrassing as Chelsea fans talking about made-up players.

Shame Man U didn't play like last night against us on Sat, we may well have got something from the game.

You're missing the point here Sarge. Manure did play like that against us on Saturday but Palace didn't play like Olypiakos. Palace needed to go at them and raise the pace, keeping up a good amount of pressure. That's the way Palace will have to play to stay in the prem.

totally agree.First game TP has got the tactics wrong, played too deep and did'nt press enough. You can't absorb that much pressure for 90 mins against top teams, eventually they will score, same as arsenal away.

Hopefully Swansea will also be tired after holding off Napoli for a nil all draw last night.

I heard someone on 5 live with a thick Brummie accent complaining about how they struggled to beat a 'Championship side' who were 'bottom of the table'. I'd only been half listening, yet heard the drivel and hoped to God he wasn't referring to us. Then transpired that he was.

Sat on my own in the car I suddenly became aware that I was ranting about "f***ing c***s" and all the rest. Don't know why it bothered me so much, but the level of ignorance was astonishing. He epitomises all that's wrong with the majority of Man Utd fans. If he'd had a Lancashire accent, if have let it go, but the unashamed Birmingham twang.

Hopefully he'll start supporting Manchester City soon, seeing as he's no doubt got the most pitifully tenuous link to Manchester which will no doubt be the justification for supporting a team from an area he's never been to.
