Pulis has also offered Jonny a 5 year deal and said on sky sports the other day he is an incredible talent and has a big future at palace. It is almost like you want Pulis to leave him out so you can moan about him. well Joniesta was not involved when he was here. The point was about short termism - becomes long termism in terms of youth developement. Saints proved yesterday that you have to be committed to it. Yesterday we ran aound being hard to beat but created very little again. Cameron Jerome is hampering the progress of Dwight Gayle, and even playing Kai Kai would give him vital experience for next season if we stay up. Saints is the way! Your mad he is playing really bad at league 1 side Crawley. Southampton have much better youth academy then us ffs we lost 2 1 to Exeter city u21 not long ago. We produce good players yes but for every moses there is 10 Cadogans.

how do you know he is playing really bad at Crawley?

Saints are the only team who arent interested in short term gains and they have been richly rewarded. Are you saying there is something in the water down there ; why should all the best youngsters come through southampton!!!!

It is telling that the 44 regular England professionals of the last 20 years (25 caps or more) launched their careers at just ten clubs. [Link] Southampton are indeed doing well right now, but they remain exceptional in that regard. Most clubs get this part of the game badly wrong.
