A guy at my work used to play against him at school and said he wasn't that good back then until he went over to the States to train

Yes he's better defensively than Walker, most right backs are. No, I wouldn't take him to Brazil.

Clyne is better.

England problem is on the flanks, we have no wingers who can beat their man and we have crap full backs especially on the right hand side.

The only English player capable of beating his man through technical ability and skills is Zaha, while he is not the finished article I think we can all agree that if developed properly he'd be just what England needs, a winger who scares the life out of world class defences throughout the whole game. England need a 'Hazard' or 'Ribery' type player out wide, those type of players are capable of beating defenders without needing the assistance of a full back who should really just be a standard winger.

I know its quite harsh criticising these full backs but their defensive record speaks for its self, they really shouldn't be defenders as they cannot defend to save their lives.

Joel Ward not being biased in any way is a breath of fresh air for England, finally a full back who is capable of defending, while he may not be the best going forward he is the best right back England have defensively, in the long run I believe we need to go about producing and developing a winger who is able to beat his man comfortably and installing a defender who can sit back and defend and not have to go up front as much as the likes of Walker, Johnson to help out a winger who is clearly the dogs bollocks at attacking and doesn't require much assistance from full backs.

Its a big ask but with Clyne, Zaha, Ward, Luke Shaw and Tom Ince all being relatively young we can go about building for the future flank department of the national team.

Well thats my view on this subject..
