Nothing can ever be closer than 2004/5 last day shenanigans.

Leigertwood you tit.

7 minutes. That's all it was....7 minutes. And the week before...93rd minute equaliser.

Still hate thinking about that. So close. Soooooo close.

It was that Southampton equaliser that did for us

I'd single out the Referee at the Norwich game for 'doing for us', the game finished 3-3 but the referee missed a deliberate handball on the line that everyone else in the world saw.

Down to 10 men, we'd have easily won that game (not to mention the referee waving off another clear penalty on AJ).

Absolute robbery of the Palace, and it really cost us at the end of the season.

This season, if we go down, it'll be that horrible losing streak that ended Holloway's reign. Had Pulis been in from the start of the season we might very well be sitting in the top 10.

This debate again. The sending off at Albion was the one event that sticks in my mind. 2-0 up and cruising when Soldado got the hook after a "professional foul" just beyond the half way line! Baggies pulled back to draw, we lost our CB partnership that was just beginning to gel and we conceded the 17th berth to... Albion!

That and our bad start, Manure taking their foot off the gas [nothing to play for] allowing Albion to draw at OT, that refereeing decision against Norwich and us conceding to Charlton at HOME with the last kick of the match.

By far the LEAST important contributing factor to our relegation was Leigertwood's foul. It really annoys me when he gets the blame for our relegation. 2-2 away that season was a good result. You might as well blame Dougie for not scoring a hat trick. Daft comment!

I don't know about you guys but I think Robbie Savage is a tool.

However he has stated we have the best home and away fans in the premiership (obvious really) and we will stay up.

So he's still a tool, just a sensible one

Why would anyone chose to be a Seagull? The Eagle is a far superior creature.

The Seagull lives under it's damp pier meekly looking out, blinded by the sheer quality of the Eagle's palace.

Robbie Savage predicts the relegation victims on the BBC site. Notice he has something to say about us.

Crystal Palace
League position: 17th
Top scorer: Marouane Chamakh (five goals)
Savage's view: Tony Pulis has done an amazing job since arriving in late November. He's galvanised the squad, made some great signings in the January transfer window, and they have the best fans in the Premier League.
Did you know? Crystal Palace have scored 15 goals in their 24 league fixtures - the fewest in the division. They have failed to score in half of their 24 games.
