Haven't seen any announcements that Jules has been offered or about to sign a new contract apart from some half arsed effort on Sky.

Seeing as he's such an important figure and we are facing a relegation battle think this is piss poor.

If that is the case I'll have to agree its pretty poor

Have people been noticing that Jules has started to come for a lot more balls since Pulis arrived? He has dealt with them fairly well (I can't remember any real blunders) so obviously this has been worked on and was probably identified as an area of weakness.

Personally I don't see there being a contest, Speroni is no. 1, but now we have a solid 2nd keeper.

Yes I did to v Hull, particularly in the first half and in doing so and dealing with them, he took pressure of the defense. Definitely some change to JS coaching routine.

WH will have to wait his turn.

I think you have all missed the most important factor . Goalkeeping now is nearly 80% use of your feet. Speroni biggest weakness is not crosses its his distribution with his feet. He is probably the worst in the premier for kicking with ball at his feet Watch tomorrow and see the difference between his kicks and Fosters. His kicks dont penetrate quickly enough giving the defence and midfield time to move into position. I don't now if Hennessy is any better as I haven't seen him since Butterfields hat trick.

That SAVE in the second half when Jules dived down to prevent a goal with a Gordon Banks style save just emphasises why he is Number 1 !!!!

I always thought the fundamental art of goalkeeping was to prevent the opposition from scoring.

Quick and accurate distribution is a bonus and Foster did release the ball quick today, but was that because WBA were chasing the game, as is often the case with them?

I thought his distribution yesterday was more than adequate, ok it may not be the best in the premier league but when he pulls off saves of the quality he did yesterday who cares.

I reckon Pulis will make Hennessy the number one keeper from next season - Speroni will see this season out at the very least.
