we are not scoring enough to stay up.

Unless there is a significant improvement we will be relegated.

If we don't concede we don't need to score more than one each game. Ince, Ledley will score goals and provide service for Chamach.

Where are the goals? We have only scored 15 and Man City have scored 68. we are not scoring enough to stay up. Will Ledley get 10 by May?

...all we need is one a game.

But that assumes the other team don't score!!!! I hope we don't rely on that because we won't always be as lucky as we were in the second half of the Hull game.

Comparing our goal-scoring record with Man City's is totally cretinous. Comparing it with sides around us makes much more sense, and we still fall woefully short
Thankfully our defensive record compares favourably, so we are not so far adrift of others and better than some when comparing goal difference.

Sorry mate but I will carry on being cretinous and say that Luis Suarez has scored 23 as an individual which is all pointing to the fact that the goal-shy leave this division quickly.

10 years ago our strategy was long ball to AJ and get him to draw a foul in the area and then tuck away a penalty and it nearly worked. Not sure where our attacking threat lurks at present and would like to see Gayle used more.

I have not the slightest doubt that you will be carry on being cretinous, the irony of a learning curve is clearly lost on you.
If you take the time to check the recent history, you will see that the teams that concede the most goals got relegated more often than the teams that score the least. But why let the facts get in the way of your silly little conspiracy theory.
Getting back to your original point, EVERY side has scored less than Man City, does that make everbody else certainties for relegation in your little world?! The breaking news is that only 3 teams get relegated.
Where we are falling down is not that we are failing to score as many goals as Man City - we have that in common with another 18 teams - it is that we are not getting any points from our games against top 10 teams. Of the bottom 11 teams, we have less points against top 10 teams than anybody else. We MUST pick up points against decent teams to have any hope of finishing above 3 other teams.

This please! Let's keep it tight as GD will make a huge difference. Goals win games admittedly but conceding leads to relegation without a doubt.

Sorry guys but it is neither one thing nor the other - leave the statistics to the economists.

We have to have a goal threat, hopefully Ledley, Ince and Murray will provide more of this in the next few months. Similarly, and rather obviously, we need to continue to be tight at the back and concede as few as possible.

If we win 1-0, 2-1, 5-4 or whatever is really does not matter - we get three points. We have to get three points five more times this season and, hopefully, after Saturday that will be down to four times.

If it does go down to goal difference then we will have severe problems but I think we will stay up by three or more points.
